The serpentine top rail has a carved center
medallion flanked by scrolling acanthus above a caned back to arms ending
in scrolls supported by carved acanthus stiles. The caned serpentine
seat is within a conforming thumb-molded frame upon a waved apron with
carved acanthus medallions and scrolls. All raised on carved cabriole
legs joined by two X-shape stretchers, ending in scroll feet.
